Anne's Story

Hi, I'm Anne, the founder of Amor Care. I'm a wife, mother of 5, and a woman with a vision. As a kid, my family always had room for a person in need. There were many nights that an extra plate was set as dad brought home a last minute guest. His heart was to love those around us because people matter.

That is why Amor (love in Spanish) is the name of my company.

My heart grew as my shoe size grew.

I helped care for my grandma in her golden years. The memories of fixing her lunch are with me to this day. She loved banana shakes and always called me Annie-Banany-Please-And-Thank-You. I learned that serving others is a truly fulfilling lifestyle and there is always time to look another in the eye and listen to them.

At 15, I spoon fed broth to great grandma during her time on hospice. Caring for the elderly takes skill and knowledge. Because of these experiences, I lead my company with empathy and competency.

My passion is to pass this on to each and every one of my team.

I look for like-minded caregivers who will join this vision and carry it with them into their time with you or your loved one. Amor Senior Care is about treating others with love, like family.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read my story.

I look forward to serving you!

Hello,

I’m Theresa Ginotti-Haleen, I am super excited to be part owner of Amor Senior Care.  I met Anne about 3 years ago when we were both working for different In-Home Care companies and I instantly fell in love with her.  Anne is truly one of the nicest, most caring ladies I’ve ever met and I knew as soon as I met her that someday we’d be working together. So here we are 3 years later and due to circumstances beyond our control Anne started Amor Senior Care.  Helping seniors has been a life long passion of Anne’s and when she asked me to join her on this new journey I instantly said YES.  The old saying is “if you want something done right then do it yourself” – so we will.  We want to be a PREMIERE company, where the quality of our care is more important than how big we get or how many clients we have. We don’t want to be know as the company that just throws any caregiver into your home.  We want to really make sure we are doing the best job possible in finding a really qualified caregiver to help our clients with their own unique needs.

I started over 20 years ago working in the senior arena.  I’ve been the manager of an In-Home Care company, helped to start a different In-Home Care company, I’ve done and still do Out of Home Placements for 13 years, I worked in a Memory Care Community and I was the Administrator for 2 Board and Care Companies – one was for Dementia only residents.  So, I think you can see, I love helping seniors no matter where they are on the aging journey.  Helping families struggling with a parent with Dementia is truly my passion and I’ve had to walk this journey myself with my mother-in-law and she was probably my most difficult client.  I also am very knowledgeable with helping Veteran’s get the benefits they deserve. I also have been a Referral Specialist, helping families navigate all there is to know and do with their loved one for years.

I host a radio show called “A Time for Seniors”, am the chair the Elder Care Providers’ Coalition, and on the board of Gold Country Senior Services.

I have been married for 22 years now and am the mother of 4 amazing kids (one – Justin passed away when he was 23) and grandmother to 6.  I’m a dog mom to 3 beautiful Golden Retriever’s and I love living in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. My lifetime passion is reading books -it’s not when I have time – I make the time.

Feel free to call me at any time with any questions you may have.
